These Fair Shores: The Commonwealth of New England

Is there any movement for these dissenters to form a new party focused on rural interests? I'm sure the tories and Liberals will claim to serve their interests, but clearly they haven't in the past as much as Labour isn't in this case.
I noticed a few other new parties in a prior infobox. I'd be curious to know what they were about.

Was the “Social Union” which preceded the Labour Party affiliated with the American DSU? If so, was the merger into the Labour Party seen as a way to bring it under control, given that it took place only four years after the American Revolution?

Outstanding timeline by the way — it inspired me to get into mapmaking and Wikiboxes.

I wonder if factions like the Kuomingtang exist in this universe, they were a widespread democratic movement in China during the early 20th century. (Albeit mostly confined to European sectors).

Some explanation of the parties would also be nice. What does Peconic party stand for? What about protection? What flavor of labour is labour?
From the Discord server:

The Left: leftism, socialism
Liberal Union: liberalism, centre-rightism
Labour: social conservatism
LIS: see new england (party) chart
Protection: environmentalists and greens, socialism
United Long Island: right-wing tomfuckery
Peconic: eastern development, rural interests
Independence: far-right extremism
