Instead of being a mostly ceremonial role elected by a supermajority of Congress, what if the President was elected by a separate Presidential Election and held far more extensive executive powers? e.g the Cabinet of Secretaries being directly appointed by the President rather than the Primary Secretariat, The President actually being able to veto bills put forth by Congress, etc.
