As Dreamers Do Part Deux

This Just In (July 12, 2008)
Gayle King (CBS News)
"Last night, Comedy Central's parent company Bally's, Inc released this statement..."

"In light of recent revelations of Tim Allen's transphobic bullying of Johanna Thomas (then known as Jonathan Taylor Thomas) on the set of Home Improvement during production of the last three seasons, we are postponing Comedy Central's broadcast of Tim's stand up special that was supposed to air on July 17. This postponement will only be temporary until The Jim Henson Company is able to appoint outside counsel to properly investigate these incidents."

The Governor of California was Gray Davis from 1998 until 2007. As of 2008, the governor at the moment is Jerry Brown.

The most recent acquisition was the TBS-Paramount merger last year.

Landmark Communications is putting The Weather Channel up for sale. Likely buyers are TimeWarner, CBS Discovery, Bally and Peacock.

Bob Iger, former Jim Henson Company chairman, has completed his purchase of the Denver Broncos (NFL).

After the fallout from the leaked Madison Square Garden board meeting, James Dolan is putting MSG Holdings for sale. That includes the New York Rangers (NHL), New York Knicks (NBA), the MSG Network and the arena itself. Not sure who the likely buyers will be just yet. A couple of names that could be of interest include Byron Allen and Fred Wilpon.

Mickey Arison, owner of the NBA Miami Heat, is buying the Florida Marlins (MLB) in hopes of keeping that franchise in South Florida.

The Sky Group, plc, home to multiple cable channels in the UK is also up for sale. They're mulling their options on bids from Disney, Peacock, TBS Paramount, CBS Discovery, TimeWarner, Bally, Henson, Saban Metromedia and Lionsgate.

American Movie Classics (AMC) is in the process of a sale to Lionsgate.

Alliance Atlanis, one of the biggest movie studios in Canada is also up for sale. Not sure who will buy it yet.

Southampton FC, the Premier League team that plays in the hometown of Sir Daniel Abbott, is also up for sale.
Why not sell Allanice Atlantis to Entertainment One. That merger could lead to the formation of a candaian media congermate rivaling Lionsgate

I wonder who will be replacing him as Buzz Lightyear

I know Cool Cat is at Famous Studios ITTL, but what about the other 7A stars/series...

  • Rapid Rabbit and Quick Brown Fox
  • Norman Normal

I can remember Merlin the Magic Mouse being at Famous Studios, at least.

@Tacomaster

At Famous Studios are the Alex Lovy characters:
Merlin the Magic Mouse
Second Banana
Ace and Fritz
Chimp and Zee
Cool Cat
Norman Normal

At Warner Bros.
Rapid Rabbit
Quick Brown Fox

Sadly, most of Alex Lovy's Famous Studios characters haven't seen much merch in recent years with Peacock emphasizing only the most popular of their fandoms.

Meanwhile, WB had been focusing on Daffy, Speedy and Yosemite Sam along with Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner during the Seven Arts era shorts which are widely disliked by Looney Tunes fanboys.

Howfully things will change at peacock by 2017 and alex lowry characters will see the light of day again

@kirbopher15
I like it. All Pixar needs to do is to re-record Tim's lines with Patrick and maybe delay the release of Toy Story from summer to Thanksgiving 2010 if necessary.

@WB18
In 2007 and 2008 after the Jacksonville Jaguars moved to St Louis to become the Sorcerers, the league left the schedule rotation for the NFC South untouched.

For example, this year, the Las Vegas Raiders and San Diego Chargers will both have Atlanta and Jacksonville/St. Louis at home and New Orleans and Tampa Bay on the road.

Starting in 2009, the NFC South rotation will be rearranged in the correct alphabetical order of the team's location names with the New Orleans Saints swapping rotation slots with the St. Louis Sorcerers.

Do to Hollywood being more hostile to Russia I feel that Putain would probbly be ore intrested in using his inffucle over the oligraghs to build a themepark that rival disney. I can see the project having too outcome. One a good size but not huge single gate world class class that has area themed to russain history and fairytales as well as the best ips of Sysuz mutlflim and MosFlim. Option2 a hugmous multigate themepark dumpsterfrie that ripoff all greast themepark form Disney world and Universal florida to Eurpa Park and the Alton towers. The project growths out control and bankrupts several oligarghs. The park constustion consturon goes behind shedule and open most with a lot of the acrtions unfhished . Oldnavy if you goe with a homegronwn russian park and chose option 1 then I would it the Entachnted Relam. If you go with option two I would call it the Empire of Dream. The western press would the empire of pipe dreams

Ps I remeamber that you seam to like the idea of when hartmen gets out of jail he flees to russia and gets in a nasty feud with Ray spum. Does Hartmen own the rights to fairy odd parents and danny phatome. If he dose what is the chance of chance of hartmen creatign russian ripoffs of his old shows

@Goldwind2

Right now, Butch is making a handsome living as the prison's resident tattoo artist.

Butch does not own any of the shows he did for the Cartoon Network. TBS Paramount has cut off his royalties citing Son of Sam laws.

So Bunny and Claude are butterflied out?

And what’s the difference in adding Yosemite Sam to the Speedy and Daffy series?

Thanks for your comment on hartmen. What but the chances of the homegrown russain themepark

I remamber that you said you like the idea of the idea of the pro market refrom and western culture loving Kim Jong Nam becoming sumpre leader of north korea instead instead of his brother un. If he become leader of north korea I can see him allowing market reforms and attemtping to attact western bussiness like mcdonald toyrs and hilton hotels to invest. Since Nam is a big fan of disneyland I can see him trying to get a major western themepark built in north korea. I doubt he would succeding in Dislney to build but they is a small chance that if his reform reslut in sigingant human rights improving he might be the TBS PArmount Universal Warner or Bally to build. However I feel that more likely that nam will have to build his own themepark.

ark would probbly feature a entry plaza a section themed after an idelzled downtown Pyoyang a section themed as idealized north Korean rural village, a section themed to korean follklore and mythogly a section thmed to the furute , a classic midway and a childern section themed to north korean cartoon. He a link to informaiton on north korean aniamiton ttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:North_Korean_animated_television_series

A homegrown Russian themepark is still possible if the major Russian studios can team up with Gazprom, Lukoil or any other deep pocketed oligarchs.

Good I am glad you like the idea of a home grown russain. The bigest russian studio is MosFlim. Mosflim was know for it red western some of which were set in the american west. So it is plausle for the russain park to have a cowboy section Do you pefer the modeslty ambious succeufl Relam of Fanasty idea or the overly ambious dumster fire empire of dreams. Also what about the disneyland kim jong nam becomeing sumpre leader and building his own themepark. If So do you he would call it Peeople Playland or People Plesure Paraidise or People Paradside Playland

I'm wondering, is there any update on the World of Wonders theme park in Glasgow regarding any new attraction, owners or its standing in the UK theme park ranking? etc.

Here's what's new at Worlds of Wonder Glasgow...

In 2010, there will be a new Voltron simulation ride with Lionsgate now a third-party partner at Bally's parks.

With Madeline, Sailor Moon, the Power Rangers and other New Line/Golden Harvest properties moving to Universal Studios London in 2010, that'll open up more room for attractions based on Pac-Man, Garfield, Shezow, Gumby and the Bullwinkle Studios characters. Also more room for rides based on Midway video games like Joust and Defender.

The Mortal Kombat Scorpion vs. Sub Zero dueling coaster has been refurbished to be able to operate more smoothly on rainy days.

Worlds of Wonder Glasgow is still highly competitive against Universal Studios London.

Blockbuster Studios, the new entity that will produce exclusive content for VHS specialists Limited Run, will now have a presence at Bally's parks worldwide.
