In general I based the states around urban areas or groups of urban areas, trying to keep the states compact and above a certain minimum population. An interesting concept - how did you decide the boundaries of each state?

California and Texas in the same faction seams like a indication to anyone that it is ASB I presume.
I mean, the director's said that was done to make the film seen as non-political (in the sense of supporting Dem or GOP) as possible.California and Texas in the same faction seams like a indication to anyone that it is ASB I presume.
Would explain some of the weirdness in that map.I mean, the director's said that was done to make the film seen as non-political (in the sense of supporting Dem or GOP) as possible.
In as much as a film about a civil war can be non-politicalI mean, the director's said that was done to make the film seen as non-political (in the sense of supporting Dem or GOP) as possible.

The Florida Alliance is all socially conservative red states who previously joined the Confederacy.I mean, the director's said that was done to make the film seen as non-political (in the sense of supporting Dem or GOP) as possible.
Everyone talking about California and Texas being on the same side, but I find that plausible compared to Utah and Washington being together.
Most insane French Govt. ever.made an infographic for my TL, world monarchies
That seems a little harsh. He did make Ex Machina and Annihilation, as well as writing 28 Days Later. Wishing his career to die doesn't seem very reasonable, unless there's something I'm missing?Which is pretty stupid, a Civil War is inherently political and it would be between groups that are predominantly siding with each of the two parties.
Frankly I hope this movie crashes and either ends this guys career or makes him realize his mistakes.

How is it damaging in any way?I view doing shit like this as damaging to society and I did say OR make him realize his mistakes.

I think you need to elaborate a bit more. Saying that a movie director shouldn't encourage escapism whilst on an alternate history site is a prima facie pretty odd thing to say.By encouraging the idea that reality is to be avoided and we can't talk about the actual problems.
Lots of people crave being able to hate or punch down on others, or being able to orchestrate some witchhunt against them. Nowadays people are very humane and enlightened, so they need some excuse like "it's harmful to society!" Personally hoping someone's career crashes and burns for forgettable pop-culture nonsense is par for the course. It gets way clearer once u stop taking these psychotic reddit users for what they say at face value and realise that they are extremely psychologically-repressed, indoctrinated, oversocialised bugmen with inferiority complexes and a yearning to feel in control and powerful while simultaneously believing that being those things is bad.How is it damaging in any way?
That's not true. And if it is true about this specific film, it's true about all fiction.By encouraging the idea that reality is to be avoided and we can't talk about the actual problems.
