Mortal Kombat 1 Kombat Pack: Dawn of the Pretty Cures.
[...]
Though many Mortal Kombat fans had a negative initial reception at first due to the idea of using characters from a magical girl franchise at first, it soon turned many fans around with it's voice acting, captivating gameplay mechanics and gruesome Fatalities. Fans in particular praised the voices chosen for the playable Kombatants (with Danielle Judovits returning to voice Cure March or as she is known in the Glitter Force dub as Glitter Spring) and this drove up interest for a faithful dub of PreCure, unlike the Glitter Force dubs which suffered from a divisive reputation..
this is objectively the funniest idea for a DLC i have ever heard and i need this like i need oxygen

Well, I bet the reception for the DLC would be like.....

Announcement.
"How are those PreCures going to pull off those Fatalities? All they have is the power of friendship."

After the previews:
"Holy shit! I did not know that magical girls with Fatalities would work so well!"

Decided on an update if this.

Super Mario RPG: The Millennia Door (2003)
Platform:
Nintendo-Phillips GameCube (GCN)
Developer: Camelot Studios

A follow-up to Legend of The Seven Stars and The Waru Gang Attacks and developed by Camelot, this Mario RPG would take a different direction from the graphical and art style of the first two games and would instead turn to a style more closely based on the 3D Mario titles, and indeed the presentation of this game takes a perspective more akin to OTL's Paper Mario. The game consists of a playable cast that includes Mario, Luigi, Toadette, Wario, Puniello, Lackilester, Vivian, Watt, and Admiral Boberry. The latter four are all based on different partners from the OTL Paper Mario series, much like how Goombella and Kooper were characters in The Waru Gang Attacks. In terms of gameplay and graphics, The Millennia Door derives heavily from both its two predecessors, albeit with the characters designed to more closely resemble their mainline counterparts than they did before. Gameplay wise, the title continues to combine events of OTL's Paper Mario with elements from other RPGs like combination attacks, as well as OTL features like partner characters having field abilities that help traverse the overworld somehow. Princess Peach is also featured in playable mini-chapters where she gives Mario's gang information thanks to her friendship with the computer Tec-XX. Music for the game is composed by Yoshito Hirano as opposed to Yoko Shimomura, who had went back to Square to work on several other projects. Voice acting is limited mostly to Charles Martinet providing quips as the Marios and Wario, and Jen Taylor as Peach, and a few of the new characters getting a little bit of dialogue here and there.

Much like OTL's PM:TTYD, the story begins as Peach is given a treasure map by a mysterious old lady, and mails it to the Mario Brothers. Upon arriving in Rogueport however, the brothers find that the Princess is absent and Toadette, who was accompanying Peach at the time, is being harassed by someone named Lord Crump about information on the map. Afterwards, Toadette explains that she couldn't find a trace of Peach shortly after a visit to her uncle Van Toadsen, and suggests that Mario and Luigi bring the map. Van Toadsen is a professor who identifies the map as being the map related to the myth of the Millennia Door, which sits in the heart of Rogueport's old walled city that was sealed off from the new town a millennia ago. In order to open the Millennia Door, a person must find the seven shards of the Crystal Star, which is the only way to open the door.

Unbeknownst to the characters, Lord Crump is a member of an underground cult known as the X-Nauts. Their leader, High Priest Grodus, seeks to claim the treasure behind the milennia door for himself for initially unknown reasons. He calls on three shapeshifting creatures known as the Shadow Sirens - Beldam, Marilyn, and Vivian - to spy on and try to hinder Mario's gang. Meanwhile, Princess Peach is revealed to have been kidnapped by Grodus, and is being held in an underground bunker at the X-Naut's base. In said bunker Peach meets Tec-XX, the base's defense computer network who has gained self-awareness and has become lonely, and also afraid of what may happen if the X-Nauts learn it's become sentient. Peach befriends Tec-XX and promises to keep its sentience a secret if Tec-XX allows her to send emails to Mario. In return, Tec-XX will also answer any questions Peach has to the best of its ability.

The search for the Crystal Star's seven shards takes the Mario Brothers and Toadette to a wide variety of locations. Chapter One has the trio joined by Wario, who himself was looking for the Star Shards so he could try to get some of the treasure for himself, and he joins them in the fight against the dragon Hooktail. Chapter Two takes the group to the Boggly Woods, where they first encounter a trio known as the Shadow Sirens - three entities . After beating the Shadow Sirens once the Marios go to the underground Boggly Nest, and are joined by one of the BuzzBee like Punis named Puniello to confront Lord Crump for another Star Shard. Chapter three takes the Mario brothers to a wrestling stadium known as the Glitz Pit, where they are joined by Lackilester - an underdog Lakitu with dreams of making it big, only to discover that Lackliester's personal mentor Grubba has several literal (close to) skeletons in his closet. In chapter four, Mario's group ventures into a toy-like pocket dimension where Shy Guys have captured a small electric imp named Watt, who happily joins his captors once he is freed. Chapter five has Mario and Luigi separated from their group with a body-swap trick by Beldam and Marilyn, with Vivian helping the two in a final confrontation with the Shadow Sirens where Beldam and Marilyn fuses as a Twinrova-like boss. Chapter six has the crew end up on Keelhaul Key after a failed treasure hunt for what they think is the next Star Shard, and are joined by a Captain Haddock-like Bob-bomb known as Admiral Bobbery as they confront the ghost pirate Cortez and ally with him to take down Lord Crump again.

Back at the X-Nauts' base, Peach learns the alarming truth about the Millennia Door: it is the seal for a demi-goddess known as "The Shadow Queen". Long ago, the Shadow Queen was a human witch who led a cult of personality and eventually destroyed the original town in a cataclysm before having her physical form destroyed by heroes who dared stop her. Grodus, who serves as her cult's high priest, seeks to resurrect the Shadow Queen and chose Peach to serve as her vessel because she knows the same kind of magic as The Shadow Queen, making her an ideal vessel by default. Before Peach can email Mario the full details though, Grodus catches her and deactivates Tec-XX for helping her. Chapter 7 has Mario and gang arrive at the base with a final confrontation with Lord Crump. Tec-XX, having secretly been running on backup power after initial deactivation, informs the group that Peach has been taken to the walled city back in Rogueport. Tec-XX uses the last of his power to prepare a spacecraft for them to reach the walled city.

Once all seven Star Shards are assembled, Mario and Luigi return to the walled city with their gang, and confront Sir Grodus in the Shadow Palace. However, Grodus has already succeeded in summoning the Shadow Queen's soul, which possesses Peach and plunges the world into darkness. The final boss consists of three phases, with the first one being a confrontation with Sir Grodus. Once Grodus is defeated, the gang attempts to exorcize Peach without success. However, the Star Shards react to the Shadow Queen's evil, which gives the world a chance to give Mario all their best wishes, and enables Peach to break free long enough for Mario and Crew to take her power. After the final (and hardest) part of the final boss, the Shadow Queen is defeated along with Grodus. A portal to what is heavily implied to be Hell opens up, and the Shadow Queen drags Sir Grodus kicking and screaming down with her.

Several days later, everything has returned to normal as the Brothers, Peach, and Toadette return to the Royal Palace. At letter from Van Toadsen to his niece reveals that he's been working with Wario to find if there was any actual treasure in the old city. Puniello returned to the Great Boggley Tree where he's now the heir to the leadership position. Lackilester still fights at the Glitz Pit under much more ethical management, including regular bouts with resident heel Rawkhawk. Watt reunited with his parents and happily still lives in the toybox he came from. Vivian reconciled with the other two Shadow Sirens, and now all three use their transformation talents to be entertainers. Finally, Captain Bobbery is still at Keelhaul Key, where he was elected mayor of the new town. The game ends as Mario and Luigi get a request from Peach to help her sneak out for another treasure hunt, but after what happened, it takes a bit of persuasion from Peach.

Super Mario RPG: The Millennia Door was released to critical and commercial success, with many praising the newfound gameplay and plot directions as well as its characters, and its more original plot and darker tone. It was one of the more successful Mario spin-off titles on the GameCube, and received a re-released for the Nintendo Nexus in 2019.
