I've always liked the idea of the Okha reworked with a couple of 'Motor-jets' mounted under each wing with the 'Boom' tank mainly replaced by fuel and a couple of machine guns on its 'Deck' to create a "Wooden Swallow".
Pretty sure the motor-jets 'Bounce per ounce' would have given the little...
Hullo.
Uhm, weren't there actual test articles similar to that?
Or were they strapped to He-111?
By accounts the pulse jets vibrations were something fierce. Would have needed a good amount of springs or such too damp it down. Or shake the plane apart... or the pilot, which ever went first. 😛

Hullo, long time no post.
Good to see most every one still about.
So, weird question here.
Just how much bigger would you have to stretch, fold, spindle and mutilate a Jagdpanther hull to fit something like the Abraham 120 gun in there? Would the auto loader 'Save' crew pace or...
Hullo! :D
Long time, no posts.
Just a weird sort of question from a thought.
Broadly speaking, the Americans "Just" built Sherman's and the Russians "Just" built T-34's (Just, go with me here)
How would German production figures have possibly looked if they'd "Just" built Pv...

My Puckish nature wants to reply with,
"What? Like Australia? I mean 'Duck beavers'. What sort of place has 'Duck beavers'? Whole thing has to be fake as all get out. Put 'em there. Just make sure they don't get eaten by the 'Duck beavers' or whatever weird things are supposed to...

Hello.
Long time lurker, small time poster.
Just watching a Youtube vid in the F4U and the tale of how suitable/unsitable such a machine was for carrier service.
So... with out reducing the engine size (And the probiscus problem such present) would shifting the design to a more 'Classical'...

Again, not wanting to push things into 'Space-bat' territory, but the designs will be used in an "Alternate future Traveller" universe. ;)
So... 'Form a liitle bit over function'.
Think of it as if some modern military wanted a 8x8 but they didn't want to 'Reinvent...

Hi @Claymor.
A question and , please humor me if you will.
Ignoring little things like "The suspension is too old" etc.
Which of the three turrets for your M24-JX-V2, V3, V4 might fit on the Puma variant hull you've illustrated?
Am basically looking for a 'Mobile...

Thanks for the input.
So.... for clarification.
These images/ideas/designs aren't for past time equipment being kept in service for decades past their inception. Though the amount of history presented in this of such things is fascinating/amazing.
It's more a case of...
Hello.

What could be done with the Sd.Kfz 8x8 in a similar 'Modernizing' type affair?
Am kind of...

Actually I'm inspired to use the images as visual aids in an old school RPG known as "Traveller".
New rules for Mercenary companies and these beauties will help the Company logistics a treat.
Very much sincere thanks and best wishes.
EDIT: Actually, is there or has there...
Hullo. (^_^)
Just a request/question?
Might the amazing Claymore or other artists revisit Claymore's Sd.Kfz. 234/5 Mammut (Mammoth) and investigate putting a 'Top' on the beasty?
Sort of a 'Hummvee' crew cab with cargo carrying in the back?
Also... what might a 'Short' 6X6 version of the...
