Charles Hughes wins in 1916

The US election of 1916 was a very close call. Even Wilson thought he was going to lose the elections. But what if Wilson's opponent, Charles Evans Hughes, managed to win in 1916? What kind of consequences would this have on WW I? The Leage of Nations?

Hughes was a pro-war Republican and wasn't as idealistic as Wilson, so I assume that the US will still enter WW I and maybe a better composed LoN?

More like no LoN at all. Wilson's ideas were very progressive compared to most leaders at the time.

Someone already did a fairly detailed TL on this on SHWI called "Mr. Hughes Goes to War" I believe you can still find a link to it on Wikipedia if you look him up...
